About the Role

This position requires the successful candidate to be on site and at times working off site at Hard Rock sponsored events. Under the direction of the Supervisor of Special Events & Promotions, the Special Events & Promotions Coordinator performs a wide variety of duties including operational and organizational support to assist with events and departmental needs, as well as clerical functions to support the Marketing Team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in day-to-day departmental operations when needed.
  • Work all aspects of events, including customer check-in, distributing gifts, setting up and unpacking gifts, and providing customer service at events.
  • Work off site at Hard Rock sponsored events (e.g., Kern County Fair, Bakersfield Condors Sponsor Game).
  • Communicate with various internal operating departments.
  • Promote positive public/team member relations at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • At least 1 year of guest service experience in hospitality, fast food, or retail.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats (Spanish preferred).
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working on a computer.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read and understand all Tejon Tribe policies and procedures.

Work Environment

Duties are typically performed in a professional setting, as well as in a Restaurant, Hotel, or Casino Floor environment. On the Casino floor, the role involves a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment with constant exposure to the general public and excessive noise.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
