Position Summary
Everest is seeking a tech-savvy Event Support Specialist to provide hands-on support for all meetings, conferences, and events held at Everest offices or off-site venues. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in audio/visual equipment and virtual meeting platforms, ensuring seamless execution of hybrid and in-person events.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote support for internal and external meetings, conferences, and corporate events.
- Set up, test, and operate audio/visual equipment, including microphones, speakers, projectors, video walls, and conferencing systems.
- Support and troubleshoot virtual meeting platforms including Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, and others.
- Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and Event Planning teams to ensure all technical aspects of events are covered.
- Maintain and manage inventory of A/V equipment and supplies.
- Provide real-time troubleshooting during live events to ensure minimal disruption.
- Assist with recording, streaming, and post-event media management.
- Train and guide Everest employees on best practices for using meeting technologies.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event support or A/V technical roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, and other conferencing platforms.
- Strong knowledge of audio/visual systems, including mixers, switchers, microphones, and display technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed for event coverage.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in A/V technology or meeting platforms (e.g., Teams, Webex, Zoom).
- Experience with hybrid event setups and streaming technologies.
- Familiarity with event management software or scheduling tools.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $29.90/hour - $46.71/hour. Our offered benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
