About The Venue
The Ryan Center and Boss Ice Arena is a $54 million multi-purpose venue that hosts URI Men’s and Women’s Basketball games, family entertainment, concerts, trade shows, conventions, and other community events. Notable events include Bill Nye, Stephen Colbert, AEW, The Kid Laroi, Death Cab for Cutie, Brett Eldredge, Migos, Khalid, and John Mulaney.
Responsibilities
- Taking and scanning tickets
- Assisting patrons in finding their seats
- Providing patrons directions within the facilities
- Monitoring and maintaining surveillance of doorways, entrances, exits, or other areas as assigned
- Clearly explaining building policies and procedures to patrons
- Displaying a winning, "do what it takes" attitude
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service-related position is preferred, but not required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service skills
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of staff, including management
- Ability to work irregular hours, primarily nights and weekends
- Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
Pay
This role pays an hourly rate of $16.00–$17.00.
