Event Security | Part-Time | Ford Wyoming Center

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
• Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned.
• Admits building staff, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and guests to the facility according to established security procedures.
• Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed.
• Protects Arena equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule.
• Provides regular security functions within the Arena and related areas, prior to, during and after all events.
• Responsible for clean, neat appearance.
• Aid in restricting guest access to restricted locations depending on the event.
• Assist with crowd control and safety during concerts and large events.
• When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the facility.

Qualifications

• Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
• Able to work events as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in the English language required.
• Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends and select holidays, is required.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.

About the Venue

The Ford Wyoming Center is a 28,000 square foot multi-purpose facility located in Casper, Wyoming. It features a horseshoe-shaped seating bowl with 8,000 seats and hosts a variety of events including concerts, sporting events, family shows, trade shows, competitions, religious services, bull riding competitions, commencement ceremonies, lectures, and political rallies. The venue is owned by the City of Casper, Wyoming and managed by Oak View Group.
