About the role

Oak View Group (OVG) is the global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, with a platform spanning venue development and end-to-end capabilities across venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents. The Event Security position is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all events. Special security assignments may be available during non-event days/nights. The Event Security team provides direct service to our guests and must always exhibit a professional and courteous demeanor. The venue is RiverPark Center, a 1,500-seat multi-purpose auditorium in Owensboro, Kentucky. This position will remain open until December 25, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for assistance from staff and visitors for a variety of security issues (fire, medical emergencies, etc.)
• Performs all event and non-event security duties as assigned
• Conducts building safety inspections (normally pre-event and post-event safety checks)
• Admits building staff, suppliers, contractors, visitors, and guests to the facility according to established security procedures.
• Answers information requests from staff and guests during events or as needed.
• Protects equipment, materials, and structures throughout the work schedule.
• Provides regular security functions within the arena and related areas, prior to, during, and after all events.
• Receives, records, and returns all lost and found items according to established team procedures.
• When requested, provide escorts of persons to and from locations within the facility
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior security experience preferred, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to work beyond traditional business hours, including nights, weekends, and select holidays, is required.
• Must have strong attention to detail.
• Must demonstrate a positive, professional, and customer-focused attitude.
