Event Security Officer

About the role

Officer will be on call to cover open shifts and will not have a set schedule. The number of hours worked will vary based on need (8-30 hours per week). Will cover 2nd and 3rd shifts. Working event security, handling parking, line control, stage doors, etc. Must be able to stand and walk for up to 2 hours at a time.

Requirements

• Must have excellent Customer Service skills
• Must pass drug screen and background check
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard
• Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain
• May include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds

Qualifications

• Prior security experience preferred
• No experience necessary — retail, food service or hospitality industry background is a great fit; training will be provided

Skills

• Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel
• Actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations
• Preserving order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area
• Providing customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers

$19.00/hour
