Responsibilities
- Plan and execute flawless catering and convention events
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with customers and accounts
- Ensure customer satisfaction during client functions
- Manage, coordinate, and execute group assignments
- Maintain strong client relations and ensure event specifications are communicated and executed
- Maximize food and beverage revenues through upselling
- Communicate information to all hotel departments to execute group needs
- Monitor and enforce program deadline dates
- Distribute banquet event orders, diagrams, and event resumes
- Communicate any changes to resort departments
- Accurately forecast group food and beverage revenues
- Partner with Group Reservations Coordinator to implement sales agreement items
- Participate in site visits and planning meetings
- Verify deposit due dates and billing at point of turnover
- Review bill with client during pre/post-convention meetings
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- At least 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- College course work in related field helpful
- Strong computer knowledge/skills required
- Schedule flexibility required with some long hours possible
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) required
- Multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions required
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks required
- Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor required
- Attendance at hotel required meetings and trainings required
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming required
