Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is looking for an Event Program Manager-Content Strategy for our global technology client. This role can be fully remote from within the Pacific OR Mountain Time Zones in the U.S. This Content Strategy Lead is responsible for developing and executing the end-to-end content strategy and attendee content experience for a large-scale, multi-format conference. This role serves as the strategic lead for breakout session content, speaker and instructor management, content technology, event websites, attendee journey, and onsite content execution. Working cross-functionally with event operations, marketing, web, technology, creative, AV, vendors, and internal stakeholders, the Content Strategy Lead translates business and event objectives into a cohesive, engaging, and measurable content experience. This role requires strong strategic thinking, exceptional project management, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex programs with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and deadlines. As the Content Strategy Lead, you will program manage the conference breakout session program while managing and overseeing a team to support the execution and logistics of the program. Content Strategy & Program Leadership: Develop and maintain a comprehensive content strategy and plan aligned to business objectives, event goals, audience needs, and overall attendee experience.Lead the development of content and messaging for event marketing channels, including the event website, promotional emails, social programs, blogs, interactive experiences, session recommendations, and featured session and speaker campaigns.Develop and manage the strategy and logistics for high-profile and luminary speakers, including participation confirmation, contracts, approvals, communications, and required assets.Partner with event operations and AV vendors to define and deliver technical requirements, computer needs, presentation technology, and room configurations for sessions.Partner with breakout operations to develop the event floorplan and complete session schedule grid across all content formats, including preconference, certification, sponsored, breakout, theater, and online programming.Design and document Teaching Assistant (TA) workflows, including assignment processes, communications, training, and onsite coordination.Develop and manage speaker rehearsal plans, schedules, communications, and onsite coordination.Define session engagement strategies, including surveys, polling, interactive content, and other attendee engagement opportunities.Coordinate creative resources, including PowerPoint designers and other presentation support, to ensure high-quality session materials.Lead post-event content reporting, including session survey analysis, engagement metrics, key insights, and recommendations for future programs. CMS & Content Technology Management: Own the configuration and ongoing management of the event content management platform, including speaker and track manager portals, session and speaker catalogs, scheduling and calendar functionality, TA assignment tools, and associated applications.Manage system attributes, taxonomy, metadata, and content structures to support effective content discovery, personalization, reporting, and marketing.Create, maintain, and optimize workflows and pages supporting session and speaker management.Define session access, visibility, and automation rules in partnership with technology and operations teams.Lead quality assurance of session data, speaker information, registration workflows, and content configurations.Develop and execute testing plans for preconference selection, registration, session access, and related attendee workflows.Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data quality, and enhance the overall content technology ecosystem. Event Website & Attendee Experience: Develop and maintain the event sessions overview experience, including content tracks, featured speakers, featured sessions, and content discovery pathways.Develop and maintain web experiences for preconference training, certification, sessions, speakers, agenda, FAQs, and other content-related experiences.Define and deliver a holistic attendee content journey across discovery, registration, scheduling, agenda planning, preconference programming, certifications, and onsite participation.Partner with web, marketing, UX, and technology teams to ensure content is presented clearly, consistently, and effectively across the attendee journey.Conduct comprehensive QA of event website pages and content experiences prior to launch.Provide recommendations for APIs, integrations, data flows, and system enhancements that improve the attendee experience and operational efficiency. Onsite Content & Speaker Management: Lead onsite content readiness and execution across breakout, lab, theater, and other session environments.Validate that session rooms and presentation environments are configured according to finalized content, AV, and operational requirements.Schedule, host, and facilitate onsite speaker, instructor, lab, and TA briefings.Develop and deliver all-hands presentations and training for speakers, lab instructors, and TAs.Serve as the primary onsite content escalation point, proactively identifying and resolving issues that could impact speakers, sessions, or the attendee experience.Partner closely with event operations, AV, production, technology, and vendor teams to ensure seamless content execution onsite. Qualifications: 8+ years of experience in event content strategy, event marketing, conference programming, or a related field, preferably supporting large-scale B2B, technology, or enterprise events.Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional content programs from strategy through onsite execution and post-event analysis.Strong understanding of event content ecosystems, including session management, speaker management, scheduling, event websites, registration systems, and attendee engagement technology.Experience managing CMS or event technology platforms and working with system configurations, workflows, data, integrations, and QA.Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, vendors, and competing priorities.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, speakers, internal teams, and external partners.Strong strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to translate attendee and business insights into actionable recommendations.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Demonstrated ability to collaborate across marketing, creative, web, technology, operations, production, and other cross-functional teams.Comfortable working onsite at large-scale events and managing time-sensitive issues in a high-pressure environment.Experience with event management platform, RainfocusComfortable building PPT decks and Excel for planning purposesComfort and ability to present to leadership Location: Can work remotely from within U.S. Pacific OR Mountain Time ZonesDuration: Full-time, consultingRate: $75 Per/Hr. as a non Exempt W-2 consultant of Crawford Group; benefits available if eligible (Our salary ranges are determined based on skills, experience and location) Committed to Diversity;We believe in approaching every interaction with honor, respect, and positive intent.
