About the role
The New Orleans Saints and New Orleans Pelicans are seeking a highly organized and motivated Event Policies and Operations Coordinator to join their team. This role supports the business operations department for the teams, focusing on operational game day and marquee event assistance, administrative support, and acting as a liaison between departments.
Responsibilities
- Create and develop detailed plans and procedures for game days and marquee events
- Ensure policies and procedures comply with teams, NFL, NBA, and venue regulations
- Interface with Legends Global for stadium and arena needs
- Manage, coordinate, and distribute credentials and credential systems
- Conduct building walkthroughs to verify operational and partnership elements
- Coordinate giveaway and promotional item deliveries
- Support execution of special events
- Seek out industry best practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years of experience with a professional sports organization, team, or league
- Positive, solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to learn
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Ability to interact professionally with team’s players and staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, or relevant software
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds
