Parking Services at CU Boulder is hiring for two Event Parking Supervisor positions. This on-call role oversees concession sales, general and reserve parking, and traffic flows during special events on campus, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Uniform compliance is required.

About Us

Parking Services (PS) is a department within the Auxiliary Services unit of Finance and Business Strategy (FBS) at the University of Colorado Boulder. FBS provides innovative customer service and revenue-focused solutions to support the campus and local community. Responsibilities

  • Event Supervision
    • Coordinate event-related assignments and equipment for parking attendants (students and contract agency employees) within a defined campus area.
    • Make quick decisions to address unique variables during events.
    • Work independently with or without direct supervision.
    • Provide detailed onsite briefings about event logistics.
    • Adhere to CU and Parking Services Internal Audit regulations.
    • Keep Events Managers informed about equipment, personnel, and event-related topics.
  • Customer Service
    • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs and providing solutions.
    • Communicate parking costs, campus geography, facilities, procedures, and local amenities to a diverse clientele.
    • Read and understand event assignment documents and ensure all required tools (uniform, radio, traffic vest, flashlight, etc.) are on-post.
  • Training
    • Complete all required University of Colorado at Boulder and Parking Services trainings.
    • Track assigned events and other duties supporting Parking Services operations.
  • Other Duties
    • Respond to emergent needs as directed by supervisors or university/department leadership.

Requirements

  • Current valid driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 5 event or equipment shifts per month, plus all critical shifts designated by Parking Services leadership.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Capability to follow written and oral instructions related to event logistics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using a smartphone.
  • Familiarity with the CU Boulder campus.

Pay

$20.00 per hour.

Schedule
