Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serves as primary liaison between clients and facility departments.
- Attends appropriate planning, organization and other event and facility meetings.
- Determine the event criteria and compose a detailed event document with individual instructions for each department.
- Serve as the lead contact for clients in handling any unexpected changes, requests, and unusual circumstances as they arise.
- Cookordinate with Operations: equipment distribution/inventory, room set requirements, and special staffing requirements.
- Plan and coordinate activities with the various service contractors for assigned events.
- Inspect leased event space during move in, move out, and show hours to oversee enforcement of Fire Safety Regulations and proper set up.
- Monitor's facility set up.
- Guide clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies, and procedures.
- Keeps the client informed as to status of deadline schedules, including but not limited to floor plan submissions, meeting room set ups, and other relevant event details.
- Prepares cost estimates and assists the accounting department with the final billing.
- Conduct prospective client tours and help the client visualize the variety of uses on how their event can take place within our venue.
- Maintain an overall philosophy of providing the highest level of customer service possible.
- Communicate in a courteous, cooperative, respectful, timely and professional manner with ASM Global Staff, clients, and subcontractors.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

- Must pass a background check.
- Education And/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree (BA) in hospitality, business, or related field from a four-year college, university, or equivalent experience on a year for year basis for the degree is preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of event planning experience and/or training.
- Working knowledge of the principles of event facility management, services, and equipment.
- 3 years previous communication / information services experience.
- Knowledge of the Bossier City/Shreveport area including hotels, restaurants, retail, and entertainment, preferred.
- Experience as a supervisor or manager is preferred.

- Must be able to work flexible schedule to include holidays, weekends, and evening shifts.

- Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
- Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge using Microsoft Office 365 and Draft Sight.
- Physical Demands:
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required by event.
- Ability to work extended periods of time both walking and/or standing.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
