Job Summary
We’re looking for a few self-motivated outgoing people to help us meet angel investors. This isn’t as scary as it might sound - these people attend startup events.
Responsibilities
- Visit the same events – meetups, angel nights, pitch events, demo days – start conversations, build intrigue, and collect contact info.
- Think of it like speed-dating or event booth staffing: Strike up a brief conversation, collect contact info, move on to the next.
- Attend pitch nights, collect 50 cards of which ~30% turn out to be qualified leads and earn $150.
- As we get closer to launch, high performers receive a chance to pitch and close investors — which means higher earning potential and career growth.
- Find and attend events using tools such as Lu.ma, Meetup, Eventbrite.
- Strike up conversations (see how to introduce the company below).
- Ask questions, people love talking about themselves.
- Invite prospects to join our investor “first look shortlist”; collect their business card or contact info.
- Offer to make connections.
- Ask for referrals and invitations to other public or private events.
- Pass on leads to our team to qualify and engage.
Qualifications
- You thrive in a room full of strangers. Conferences, mixers, and pitch nights feel like home turf.
- You know how to make people curious. Ability to take the conversation to the next stage.
- You're early-career or pivoting. Looking for a ground-floor opportunity with real upside potential.
- You're outgoing, charismatic, and genuinely comfortable talking to strangers in professional settings.
- You're self-directed — you find the events, you book your own calendar, you make it happen.
- Nice to have: Prior experience in brand ambassadorship, retail sales or business development.
- You've attended multiple events, collected contact info and passed on to our team.
- You've established a weekly event cadence and a personal outreach rhythm.
- You've asked for referrals and introductions in every meaningful conversation.

$10 per Qualified Lead, regardless if/who closes it.
