EVENT COORDINATOR

About the role

The Event Coordinator serves three primary purposes:

• Year-round roles: customer care, sales, marketing, recruiting, event logistics, and leading assigned areas.
• Event season preparation: preparing for the summer season, focusing on customer care, SERVE program demands, and ensuring readiness by May.
• Summer Leadership: leading alongside the Event Director in on-site customer service, campus contact coordination, contract management, team development, and fulfilling brand promises.

This role enriches the lives of youth workers and serves churches and their leaders during the summer while building relationships year-round. The Event Coordinator acts as an ambassador for GENERATE with both customers and staff, embodying a ministry-minded approach, strong organizational skills, flexibility, and a commitment to expanding the Kingdom impact of YM360.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a minister and provide customer service for all YM360 initiatives.
• Grow the GENERATE summer footprint and relationships with churches.
• Assist in marketing efforts, including outbound communications to targeted regions.
• Participate in retention plans, registration, and camp preparation.
• Contribute to the SERVE program, church placements, and related tasks.
• Participate in GENERATE Summer Staff recruiting and hiring.
• Lead on-site customer service alongside the Event Director and YM360 leadership.
• Coordinate with YM360 leadership on campus contacts and event logistics.
• Serve as the point of contact for summer communication with registered churches.
• Communicate and coordinate staff and participant details with campus contacts.
• Lead summer team travel with the Event Director.
• Oversee office staff and duties related to Housing, Small Group Bible Studies, Resources, and Kids Academy of Awesomeness.
• Reconcile registration numbers between the YM360 home office and campus contacts.
• Submit end-of-week reports for GENERATE as needed.
• Manage assigned budgets with YM360 leadership.
• Respond to chats and phones as part of the Communications Team.
• Audit existing data for errors or incomplete records.
• Familiarize yourself with YM360 products and resources to assist consumers at the point of sale.
• Participate in YM360 tradeshow efforts.
• Manage assigned boxes of responsibility and monthly reports.
• Assist in fulfillment as needed.
• Complete other assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Pursuing or attained a college degree or higher.
• 1+ year of industry experience.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Proficient at multitasking.
• Able to work in groups and individually.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lead a high customer service experience.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday from the office in Hoover, Alabama when not traveling.
• Summer season at camp locations.
• 40 hours per week (though seasonal deadlines may require additional hours).

This position reports to Angela Terry and J. Roger Davis, YM360’s Director of Events and President.
