Develop and coordinate all Global Disciples’ US-based events that communicate the mission and vision in creative and informative ways.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute all US-based events, including signature dinners, meetings, and other partner relations events:
- Coordinate with US Leadership Team to develop event schedule, speakers, and themes
- Extend invitations to speakers, musicians, and emcees
- Research and reserve venues, catering, and other event details
- Handle event décor, including marketing for brand-specific elements, signage, and displays
- Oversee registration process
- Manage onsite event setup and breakdown of in-person events, transporting supplies
- Attend signature events and give leadership for day-of-event details
- Relay real-time updates or changes to team members onsite
- Identify and troubleshoot real-time event issues quickly (A/V, supplies shortage, room changes)
- Manage event follow-up, including evaluations, financial reports, and thank-you gestures
- Provide event support for advocate-led events
- Coordinate internal and external event partners:
- Ensure event prayer support with US Prayer Leader
- Provide training to volunteers
- Work with Marketing and Communications team on materials and communications
- Work with Partner Relations Team regarding sponsorships, seating charts, and church involvement
- Serve as primary point-of-contact for all event-related vendors
- Other duties, as assigned:
- Respond to event emails and inquiries
- Maintain active list of event venues, caterers, and volunteers
- Warmly greet office visitors and answer phones on assigned day
Requirements
- Must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and an active member of a Christian church
- Passion for the mission and work of Global Disciples and alignment with its statement of faith, goals, purposes, and objectives
- Ability to take initiative in decision-making
- Capacity for and enjoyment of working independently
- Adaptable, with a pleasant demeanor and positive interaction with others
- Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to keep a variety of projects moving forward
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Excellent computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft Office Suite & Office 365
This position will require 10-20% travel per year.
