Evening Shift Manager
About the role
The role involves leading shifts in a McDonald’s restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee. This franchisee is a separate entity from McDonald’s USA, meaning the franchisee is responsible for all employment matters including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience.
- Provide leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness.
- Monitor performance during the shift, take corrective actions as needed, and ensure compliance with McDonald’s standards.
- Maintain safety, security, and profitability of the shift.
- Communicate with the next Shift Manager to help prepare them for their shift.
- Meet targets set for the shift and assist in meeting departmental goals.
- Manage inventory, daily maintenance, and cleanliness.
- Ensure exceptional customer service.
- Manage crew effectively.

Requirements
- Previous leadership experience, preferably in a restaurant, retail, or hospitality setting.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to manage a flexible schedule.
- Must be 18 years or older to qualify as a manager in a corporate-owned McDonald’s restaurant.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a managerial role is preferred but not required.
Skills
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously is crucial.
