Evening LPN Instructor

About the role

Jersey College is seeking an Evening LPN Instructor to join our dedicated team of educators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care facilities.
• Create a supportive and educational environment for students.
• Prepare and submit student progress and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and evaluate student competence.
• Evaluate student learning and clinical experience using established assessment tools.
• Attend faculty meetings and participate in professional development activities.
• Supervise students in the clinical setting and deliver effective lessons.
• Ensure all evaluations are conducted according to program philosophy and objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
• Current valid State LPN license.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Organized and capable of prioritizing tasks.
• Experience supervising students in clinical settings.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of nursing specialty.

Skills

• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to deliver lessons at the level of an RN or LPN student.
• Knowledgeable in relevant areas of nursing practice.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
