About the Role
The eTools CAD & Catalog Specialist creates and maintains 2D/3D CAD, digital material swatches, and catalog enrichment data for Kimball International’s electronic specification tools.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business unit stakeholders and outside development partners to create and enhance eTools model data.
- Create and validate 2D/3D AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD tools as identified by the business units.
- Create material JPGs that tile and render accurately when assigned to product layers.
- Utilize Catalog Creator software to import SIF and build/publish eTools catalogs.
- Distribute enrichment data to various vendor partners.
- Keep the symbol downloads page of Kimball International Brand’s websites current.
- Participate in requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and support of eTools catalog & symbol creation.
- Promote strategy to reduce costs through standardization, automation, and shared assets.
- Stay current with technology trends, new software, and best practices that can increase productivity.
- Identify methods to use Information Technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness within eTools development.
- Ensure effective communication is delivered to all required parties regarding project status updates, support issues, and customer inquiries.
- Build and maintain business relationships to ensure proper alignment to business strategy.
- Develop, execute, and maintain documentation for processes and projects.
- Support the vision and guiding principles of Kimball International and the goals of the business units.
- Maintain a proven history or ability to demonstrate safe/responsible behavior and a positive performance record (including attendance).

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in computer-aided drafting and design, or relevant work experience.
