CAD/BIM Technician

The CAD Technician role supports the Estimating Department on the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project in Cincinnati, OH. Responsibilities

• Produce earthwork quantities using digitizing software AGTEK from electronic files or manually digitized drawings for estimator cost analysis.
• Generate other quantity take-offs using various computer software as needed by estimators.
• Create CADD drawings/sketches of temporary works (e.g., access roads, shoring, special formwork, phasing, staging plans) for cost estimation.
• Contact vendors (suppliers/subcontractors) to solicit quotes for various scopes of work.
• Perform additional duties as required by estimators for project cost determination.

Requirements

• College degree, equivalent technical school certification, or relevant job experience.
• Approximately 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in digitizing software (AGTEK or equivalent) and AutoCAD.
• No travel required, though occasional local field site visits may be necessary.
