About the role
Join DKP Wood Railings and Stairs, a trusted company specializing in custom staircases and railings on Long Island.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients on-site or in the showroom to evaluate stair and railing projects.
- Review drawings, measurements, and site conditions to prepare accurate estimates.
- Prepare and present detailed proposals and pricing for stair and railing installations.
- Explain project scope, materials, timelines, and costs clearly to clients.
- Follow up with leads and prospects to answer questions and close projects.
- Carefully coordinate with installers, project managers, and production teams.
- Manage change orders and pricing updates as project scope evolves.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and client communications.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in estimating and/or selling stair, railing, or related construction projects.
- Strong understanding of stair and railing systems, materials, and installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and specifications.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with homeowners and contractors.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
