Job Details

The Project Manager / Estimator is responsible for leading projects from preconstruction through closeout while supporting business development efforts through accurate estimating and client relationship management. This role serves as a key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Estimating & Preconstruction
  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals.
  • Develop project budgets, scopes of work, and value engineering recommendations.
  • Participate in bid reviews and client presentations.
  • Project Management
  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans.
  • Cook up subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and field personnel.
  • Monitor project costs and prepare financial forecasts.
  • Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and company procedures.
  • Client & Team Leadership
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with superintendents and field teams to drive project success.
  • Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions.
  • Support a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial construction estimating and/or project management experience.
  • Experience with healthcare, corporate interiors, life sciences, education, or institutional projects preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
