Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings and specifications to extract cabinet, fixture, and material requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Engage with clients to confirm project scope and deliverables.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analysis to ensure profitability.
- Support the sales team with technical expertise and follow-ups.
- Specify materials, quantities, and associated costs for each project.
- Identify and resolve gaps in documentation through RFIs.
- Submit final bid packages after internal review.
- Cook up with architects, engineers, and site supervisors.
- Conduct field measurements and review or generate shop drawings.
- Suggest process improvements to reduce cost variances.
- Collaborate with EFY leadership to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain awareness of building codes and AIA Division formats.
Required Industry Experience
- Direct, hands-on experience in the kitchen and bath cabinetry industry is mandatory.
- A solid understanding of cabinet systems, materials, and production workflows.
- Experience supporting multi-family and/or affordable housing projects is strongly preferred.
Skills & Core Competencies
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong general command of Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Teams, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Bluebeam, 20/20 Design, or Mosaik (or similar estimating/design software).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Confident decision-maker with strong follow-through.
- Detail-oriented and resourceful with a solution-driven mindset.
- Professional, client-service approach and team-first attitude.
- Familiarity with NYC construction, multi-family, and affordable housing sectors.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (cabinetry, construction, or interior renovations).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
