Estimator/Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an estimator/project manager to help deliver electrical construction projects for federal & government projects. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a compliance-driven, detail-intensive setting and takes pride in work that serves communities and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, compliant estimates for federal, state, and municipal electrical projects, including detailed takeoffs, vendor pricing, and proposal preparation.
• Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, safety standards, and agency specifications.
• Cook up coordination with engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and field teams to maintain progress and resolve technical challenges.
• Oversee documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and quality-control records in accordance with government protocols.
• Support projects involving medium and high-voltage distribution, airfield lighting, SCADA-integrated systems, water/wastewater electrical upgrades, and secure facility infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, FAA, DoD, and other applicable federal standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience estimating and/or managing electrical construction projects, ideally within federal, municipal, or public-sector environments.
• A strong understanding of government contracting, including specifications, submittal processes, and compliance requirements.
• The ability to interpret complex electrical drawings, one-lines, and technical documentation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• A commitment to accuracy, safety, and delivering work that meets stringent government standards.

Qualifications

• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
• This is a new role.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
• Experience with project management software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Pay

Salary: $100K-$140K base (salary depends on experience)
