About the role
We are looking for an estimator/project manager to help deliver electrical construction projects for federal & government projects. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a compliance-driven, detail-intensive setting and takes pride in work that serves communities and government agencies.
Responsibilities
- Develop accurate, compliant estimates for federal, state, and municipal electrical projects, including detailed takeoffs, vendor pricing, and proposal preparation.
- Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring adherence to contract requirements, safety standards, and agency specifications.
- Cook up coordination with engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and field teams to maintain progress and resolve technical challenges.
- Oversee documentation such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and quality-control records in accordance with government protocols.
- Support projects involving medium and high-voltage distribution, airfield lighting, SCADA-integrated systems, water/wastewater electrical upgrades, and secure facility infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, FAA, DoD, and other applicable federal standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience estimating and/or managing electrical construction projects, ideally within federal, municipal, or public-sector environments.
- A strong understanding of government contracting, including specifications, submittal processes, and compliance requirements.
- The ability to interpret complex electrical drawings, one-lines, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- A commitment to accuracy, safety, and delivering work that meets stringent government standards.
Qualifications
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
- This is a new role.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Experience with project management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.

Salary: $100K-$140K base (salary depends on experience)
