About the role
Trueline's client, a long-established specialty construction contractor serving commercial, industrial, municipal, transportation, and government clients throughout Colorado, is seeking a Construction Estimator / Project Manager to join their team in the Denver metro area.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full estimating process from bid opportunity through proposal submission
- Review plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents to develop accurate project estimates
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, equipment, subcontractor, and material pricing
- Research bid opportunities and cultivate relationships with general contractors and repeat clients
- Manage change order pricing, negotiations, and contract modifications throughout project execution
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and contract requirements to protect profitability
- Cook up estimating databases, unit pricing, subcontractor information, and historical cost data
- Identify project risks, constructability concerns, and value engineering opportunities
- Support project execution through client communication, documentation, and problem resolution
- Continuously improve estimating accuracy, processes, and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Construction estimating experience within commercial, civil, industrial, or specialty contracting
- A strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and quantity takeoffs
- Experience preparing competitive bids and managing project budgets
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
- A self-directed, organized, and highly accountable work style
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
- The ability to prioritize multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously
- Professional writing skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Nice-to-haves include experience with concrete, demolition, civil, or specialty subcontracting, Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree, Microsoft Project experience, experience with government or public works contracts, previous project management responsibilities, experience developing cost databases and historical estimating tools

$100,000 - $140,000 depending on experience
