Estimator (Multi-Family Construction) (Entry Level)

Responsibilities

• Understand general wood framing construction and how it relates to blueprints
• Extract a list of materials from a blueprint while providing details to the location and quantities of materials
• Review material lists provided by other sources and make list ready to be shipped
• Work with other teams to determine which materials and how many will be required
• Help to communicate with field teams on usage of materials and identify potential over use or misinterpretation by field teams
• Keep track of project data points from each project against the takeoff data

Qualifications

• 3-5 years estimating experience (preferred)
• Willing to train
• Able to read blueprints (required)
• Experience with Simpson Strong Tie Hardware (preferred)
• Good communication skills
• Proficient with PlanSwift (preferred)
• Proficient with Microsoft Suites (required)
• A basic skill set with Microsoft Excel is required
