About the role

Arconic is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Estimator II to join the Kawneer team in Springdale, AR, supporting the U.S. Building & Construction Systems (BCS) division. Reporting to the Order Pursuit Supervisor, this role develops competitive pricing and estimates for storefronts, curtain walls, doors, and windows. We're looking for a construction-savvy professional who thrives on collaboration, enjoys solving complex challenges, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimations for projects and construction plans using customer-supplied lists, customer elevations, and architectural plans.
• Provides exceptional customer service for Kawneer’s clients.
• Consults with internal teams, clients, sales reps, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues (e.g., quote follow-ups, order changes, product-related issues, and customer claims).
• Acts as a point-of-contact for phone inquiries with an expectation of 100% response and customer assistance without frequently forwarding calls to other front-end employees.

• Experience in the construction industry (estimating, drafting, project management, etc.).

• Ability to work in a team environment in a professional office setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• 0% travel requirement.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited educational institution (required).
• 2-5 years of experience in the construction industry (estimating, drafting, project management, etc.) (required).
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position (required).
• Associate or Bachelor degree from an accredited institution (preferred).
• 5-10 years of work experience in the construction/architectural industry (preferred).
• 5-10 years of cost estimating experience (preferred).
• Previous experience providing cost estimates for Curtain Wall/Window Wall products (preferred).
• Experience using JD Edwards and/or KaluCAD (preferred).
• Ability to visualize design concepts from architectural plans (preferred).
• Experience negotiating (preferred).
• Ability to calculate engineering loads on single and double window spans (preferred).
