About the role
The Estimator 2 at Manhattan Construction Company is responsible for creating estimates for scopes of work assigned, providing leadership over smaller projects, negotiating pricing for scopes of works assigned, and owning contracts for scopes of work assigned. This role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with 3 years of industry experience.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating estimates for scopes of work assigned
- Basic knowledge of unit pricing
- Provides leadership over smaller projects
- Negotiates pricing for scopes of works assigned
- Owes contracts for scopes of work assigned
- Makes recommendations for software updates
- Responsible for bid package scopes of work for work assigned
- Aids in Creation of Bid Manual
- Aids in managing historical costs / estimating software database
- Responsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree- Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent
- May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis
- 3 years of industry experience
Working Conditions and Physical Efforts
- Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day
- Ability to repeat the same movements
- Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls
- Use hands to type, handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or control
- Occasionally lift, pull, or move up to 25 lbs
