Estimating Manager, Data Center
About the role
The Data Center Estimating Manager is responsible for managing the cost estimating/department function. This includes ensuring timely and accurate delivery of cost estimates, accurately costing projects or products, and managing a multi-disciplinary cost management team across several concurrent projects.
Responsibilities
- Manages and typically directly supervises estimators
- Timely and accurate delivery of cost estimates
- Accurately cost projects or products
- Manage a multi-disciplinary cost management team across several concurrent projects
- Work directly with clients in receiving instructions, preparing and negotiating proposals, and delivering work product
- Manage quality assurance and management programs within the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Preferred: 5 years of Data Center Construction experience
Qualifications
- BA/BS + 8 Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Data Center Construction is strongly preferred
- Experience leading a multi-disciplinary cost management team across several concurrent projects
- Experience working directly with clients in receiving instructions, preparing and negotiating proposals, and delivering work product
- Experience managing quality assurance and management programs within the team
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in cost estimation software
