About the role

The Data Center Estimating Manager is responsible for managing the cost estimating/department function. This includes ensuring timely and accurate delivery of cost estimates, accurately costing projects or products, and managing a multi-disciplinary cost management team across several concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and typically directly supervise estimators
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of cost estimates
  • Accurately cost projects or products
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary cost management team across several concurrent projects
  • Work directly with clients in receiving instructions, preparing and negotiating proposals, and delivering work product
  • Manage quality assurance and management programs within the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Preferred: 5 years of Data Center Construction experience

Qualifications

  • BA/BS + 8 Years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Preferred: 5 Years of Data Center Construction is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading a multi-disciplinary cost management team across several concurrent projects
  • Experience working directly with clients in receiving instructions, preparing and negotiating proposals, and delivering work product
  • Experience managing quality assurance and management programs within the team

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
