About the role
Performs all skin care and waxing treatments on services menu based upon current licensure. Assesses contraindications of guests that may prevent service from taking place. Meets the needs of the guest at all times throughout the service. Understands and uses universal precautions when providing services. Follows all facial protocols and standards. The JW Marriott Nashville is a 33-story, 533-room luxury hotel located at 201 8th Ave. South, Nashville, TN, featuring Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina, a 10,000 square-foot outdoor pool deck, 50,000 square feet of indoor function space, and a 15,000 square-foot event lawn, owned and operated by Turnberry.
Responsibilities
- Understands and uses universal precautions when providing services
- Cleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basis
- Maintains the highest level of product knowledge and has complete knowledge of all spa services presently offered
- Understands the ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to guests
- Recommends products for home use
- Suggests to guests other beneficial treatments offered in the spa
- Begins and ends all treatments on time
- Works assigned schedule; arrives and departs from shift on time
- Ensures that work areas are clean and set according to procedures
- Informs Spa Director or other management personnel about product needs
- Creates and maintains client cards and treatment notes when appropriate
- Completes all assigned side work
- Attends all scheduled meetings
- Attends scheduled professional trainings
- Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team
Requirements
- Knowledge of skin care concepts, techniques, and procedures
- Ability to perform basic math skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, management, and staff
- Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
