Responsibilities
- A warm personality, attentive, and presentable.
- Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
- Respond courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests and all staff.
- Collaborate with clients on areas of concentration or to avoid in order to create the best experience possible.
- Discretely review guest’s medical history and injuries to provide best care.
- Become familiar with the Spa treatment menu to guide guests, add on to services.
- Continue to review treatment protocols to ensure consistency with the service provided and improve guest experience.
- Actively engage with guests to understand their wellness goals, recommend tailored services, enhancements, upgrades, and suggest professional home-care products or techniques.
- Complete daily checklist and ensure the room is maintained, equipment, and tools are kept at the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Keep the Spa leadership team updated on any items that need to be re-ordered or repaired.
- Work with team members to provide the best service and a healthy, positive working environment.
- Knowledge of all spa working equipment with the ability to handle emergencies.
- Focus on surprise and delights for guests and resolve concerns/complaints to the best of your ability.
- Teach and model guest service, technical skills, procedural skills, and safety guidelines.
- Perform other tasks associated as necessary to achieve the service, financial, and other stated goals of the spa.
- Attend all mandatory meetings.
- Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions.
- Provide general public assistance, instruction, and/or guidance for guest and employee safety in emergencies.
- Utilize product efficiently, maintain product inventory, and ensure room cleanliness.
- Complete commission reports accurately and timely.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by supervisor, including cross-training.
- Keep work area neat and organized.
- Report equipment and supply needs to supervisors immediately.
- Perform expert skin care treatments and aromatherapy following specific guidelines for stress relief, relaxation, and cleansing.
- Provide knowledge to guests for continued skin care utilizing products sold at the Spa.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative, and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations skills.
- Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Knowledge of cosmetics and aromatherapy.
- Proficient in performing skin care treatments for hand, foot, neck, shoulders, and décolleté.
- Proficient in advising clients on personal skin care.
- High School graduate.
- Valid CA cosmetology License with clinical training hours completed.
- Ability to communicate well with guests and all staff.
- Previous experience (desirable in a resort setting and guest service).
Physical Requirements

- Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
- Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to understand and follow directions, and perform job functions with limited supervision.
