Responsibilities
- Draft and review estate planning documents, including: Wills, Revocable and irrevocable trusts, Durable powers of attorney, Health care proxies, Living wills and related advance directives.
- Counsel clients on estate planning strategies and wealth preservation.
- Handle probate and trust administration matters.
- Conduct client consultations and develop customized estate plans.
- Work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff to provide exceptional client service.
- Aid in planning for business owners and real estate investors.
- Participate in business succession planning and ownership transition strategies as experience develops.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Massachusetts and in good standing.
- 1-2 years of experience in estate planning, probate, trust administration, or a related practice area preferred.
- Experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care proxies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Desire to grow professionally and develop expertise in sophisticated estate planning techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Probate and trust administration experience.
- Exposure to business entities, real estate ownership structures, or succession planning.
- Interest in advising business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and strong client relationship skills.
