About the role
The CSO is seeking a Supervising Clinician to lead the Emergency Services Program (ESP) in Gardner. The ESP provides behavioral health assessments, intervention, and stabilization services, serving as an alternative to hospital emergency departments.
Responsibilities
- Provide supportive supervisory coverage of Crisis programs when on-duty.
- Offer clinical and professional guidance to counselors.
- Conduct intake, psychiatric assessments, and appropriate dispositions for clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
- Facilitate intakes and assessments for clients referred for domiciliary supports.
- Develop community contacts and coordinate crisis plans and protocols for clients presenting frequently in crisis.
- Collaborate with hospitals, community providers, and police departments.
- Provide consultation and education as needed.
- Ensure compliance with agency, DMH, DPH, and other licensing authorities, including third-party payer regulations regarding record-keeping.
- Coordinate crisis intervention with CCS clients as needed.
Requirements
- A Master's degree in a mental health discipline, with license-eligible status (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW preferred).
- At least three years of experience working with mentally ill populations, including at least one year with supervisory responsibilities.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
