Escrow Team Lead - Remote

We are seeking an Escrow Support Specialist who enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners, and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Ensure escrow area functions for mortgage servicing portfolio loans are performed promptly and correctly; monitor reports and perform various area functions.
• Monitor escrow area vendors and activities closely through reviewing reports, including open items and interactions with staff.
• Issue accurate Dashboard/SLA reports promptly; ensure metrics meet or exceed escrow area goals each month.
• Escalate unresolved issues to management promptly; brief management on resolved items and accomplishments as appropriate.
• Provide training for Escrow Department staff; promote mentoring and a best practices concept within the area.
• Provide direction and oversight of special projects assigned; provide regular status updates to management, including project deadlines that may not be met.
• Monitor and track corporate advances for tax penalties; keep management regularly informed of items expensed or the potential for loss to enable implementation of corrective measures.
• Assist in the regular ordering of tax service contracts.
• Prepare taxing authority due dates matrix.
• Prepare monthly FHA portfolio comparison report and oversee prompt completion of exceptions.
• Add and maintain escrow payee headers.
• Monitor inbound and outbound transfer activity; ensure deadlines are met for payments, data updates, and transfers of tax contracts and flood certificates.
• Ownership of data programming for all escrow workstations for inbound transfers, including building of tax tables, payees, and insurance line mapping; analyze output in test region for accuracy.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of experience in mortgage loan servicing/lending (insurance company, escrow department, accounts payable, or accounting clerk/similar role may be acceptable).
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Passport, and processing mass transaction files required.
• Ability to manage time and priorities wisely.
• Ability to grasp concepts quickly, make sound decisions, and resolve issues.
• Ability to work in a high-volume and time-sensitive environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers in a team environment to attain common goals.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Skills

• Knowledge of taxing authority due dates, including delinquent and loss/reduction of discount dates (preferred).

Pay

Compensation Range: $22.45–$37.69 hourly. Actual compensation may vary within the range provided, depending on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Schedule

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late, or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required as necessary. Remote work requires a quiet, private place in your home and a high-speed internet connection with a minimum network download speed of 25 megabits per second (MBPS) and a minimum network upload speed of 10 MBPS. Necessary equipment is provided.
