About the Role
An Escrow Officer is responsible for preparing and managing all documents related to escrow processing, title conveyance, recording, and issuance of title insurance.
Responsibilities
- Communicates with branch or escrow manager
- Clears title demands and releases
- Drafts escrow instructions
- Audits and closes files
- Disburses funds
- Estimates closing costs
- Reviews title reports and reconciles discrepancies
- Orders beneficiary statements and prorated items
- Prepares settlement sheets
- Trains and supervises staff
- Maintains confidentiality
- Ensures compliance with escrow procedures and laws
- Develops business using marketing and customer service
- Manages escrow transactions from start to finish
- Guides team members
- Upholds escrow accounting practices
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years escrow experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Valid notary license
- Valid driver’s license and transportation
Pay
Compensation ranges from $28.29 to $44 per hour, with potential bonuses and commissions.
