About the role

This is a full-time, fully onsite position in our Boulder, CO office, supporting a collaborative team environment at 4875 Pearl East Circle, Suite 300, Boulder, CO 80301. The Escrow Officer will handle closings, notary services, escrow management, and provide exceptional customer service while working closely with residential real estate professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements; clearing title requirements; assembling, preparing, and reviewing closing documents; disbursing funds.
  • Resolve title defects; satisfy existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals.
  • Work closely with real estate brokers, lenders, attorneys, and consumers, adhering to their transactional instructions.
  • Ensure timely, thorough, coordinated, and eloquent communication with all parties involved.
  • Follow company standards and guidelines, as well as all applicable State or Federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintain privacy and confidentiality of company information, customers, and co-workers.
  • Review and execute closing documents with parties, answer questions, and check documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Post-closing: electronically record documents, digitize company records, and disburse funds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of closing experience in the title insurance industry in Colorado.
  • Understanding of escrow/closing standards, title commitments and requirements, real estate regulations and guidelines, proration, per diems, lender documents, real estate documents, and document preparation.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, detail-oriented, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player; self-starter, committed, dedicated, respectful, and hardworking.
  • Comfortable meeting with clients and prospects in varied settings.

Qualifications

  • Notary Public, State of Colorado (preferred).
  • Title Insurance Producers license (preferred; must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
