What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain escrow process from beginning to end.
  • Prepare Closing Disclosures and/or ATLA Settlement Statements according to client requirements and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review and verify documents such as survey, sale purchase contract, preliminary title report, and lender instructions/loan documents.
  • Order necessary file documents including HOA certificates, tax certificates, and surveys.
  • Clear title defects by ordering appropriate releases of liens as needed.
  • Manage a large pipeline efficiently, adhering to time frame requirements and communicating with builder coordinators, buyers, lenders, and realtors.
  • Ensure accuracy in title/escrow company documents and prepare them for closings.
  • Fluent in title industry terminology.
  • Collect taxes, HOA fees, and handle any delinquencies or principle and interest associated with the property.
  • Facilitate face-to-face closings with buyers, realtors, and loan officers, outlining lender documents.
  • Complete the closing and funding process by obtaining funding numbers, copying closing packages, disbursing funds via wire or check, and preparing and FedExing lender packages.
  • Filing recordable documents via e-recording and sending files for title policy preparation.

What You Have:

  • Prior experience working on a builder account and handling escrow/closings.
  • Knowledge of Title industry software, particularly SoftPro.
  • Excellent phone and customer service skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Extremely detail-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

Your Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years’ experience as an Escrow Officer.
  • Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with high volume, preferably in a builder setting.
  • Active Notary Public license.
  • Escrow License required.
