Support the Senior Engineering Manager in managing the Engineering Studies and Protection and Controls businesses. Lead, coordinate, and strategize efforts to maintain and grow these business units.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Engineers focused on professional engineering services such as studies and protection and controls.
  • Work closely with Service Center Managers and Sales to drive pipeline growth, execute orders, generate sales, and provide accurate forecasting.
  • Lead backlog reviews and hold applicable parties accountable for closure.
  • Assist Sales with customer meetings or communicate vital changes to project schedules.
  • Assist in project scope reviews and provide feedback for pricing.
  • Mentor team members and provide learning opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders regarding financials, project status, and regional needs.
  • Ensure the team is properly trained and has the tools necessary to be successful.
  • Routinely review costs, including margin slippage, to suggest and implement measures to reduce costs.
  • Effectively monitor utilization and adjust as needed.
  • Work closely with the Manila Team to assist in project execution or handle other associated tasks.
  • Work with COE Admin and Service Center Managers to ensure jobs are opened, assigned correctly, and invoiced in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Service Centers regarding Engineering COE issues.
  • Perform Engineering study analysis and/or protection and controls work to assist the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Engineering Manager based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Technical Degree and/or equivalent industry experience required.
  • 10 years of Vertiv Product knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Technical leadership and development skills.
