About the role
Seeking dedicated Crisis Service Professionals to provide on-call crisis response, risk assessments, and mobile support for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Responding to crisis calls and delivering mobile crisis interventions
- Conducting risk assessments and determining appropriate interventions
- Providing crisis counseling, follow-up services, and client support in various settings
- Responding to potential emergencies such as suicide calls
- Gathering information, assessing client needs, and connecting clients to community resources
- Maintaining relationships with county staff, law enforcement, courts, and community partners
- Documenting interactions per legal and organizational standards
- Identifying service gaps and recommending improvements
- Staying informed on laws, procedures, and best practices in crisis services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related fields (e.g., psychology, social work)
- Preferred minimum of one year experience with mental health clients
- Knowledge of community resources and relevant laws (Chapters 34, 51, 55)
- Strong crisis assessment, decision-making, and professionalism skills
- Ability to work independently and build relationships with diverse populations
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to respond promptly within the specified counties
