About the Role
The Office of Innovation and Technology (OIT) is the central IT agency for the City of Philadelphia, overseeing major information and communications technology initiatives to enhance infrastructure, optimize services, and ensure data security and continuity. This role supports the OPAL ERP and DW/BI project, a citywide effort to modernize core financial, grants, procurement, and supply chain business processes by replacing legacy systems (FAMIS, ADPICS, ACIS, PHLContracts) with a new ERP platform.
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Admin and Security Analyst is responsible for day-to-day oversight and administration of system and security configurations for the ERP system and associated third-party applications. This is a permanent exempt position transitioning to maintenance and support post-implementation.
Responsibilities
During ERP Implementation
- Support the ERP platforms environment and security configuration.
- Support associated applications such as directory services and auditing tools.
- Maintain technical documentation of software, system, and security configurations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand and troubleshoot business processes.
- Work with OPAL project team members to identify, define, optimize, and document Cloud and Systems Administration workflows.
- Monitor modification of and use of cloud resources.
- Document the sequence and timeframes for executing upgrade activities.
- Assist in testing and training exercises as needed.
Post Implementation Support
- Resolve ERP technical issues for project members and enterprise-wide employees.
- Support ERP security access configuration for project members and enterprise-wide employees.
- Research and resolve production support break-fix and enhancement requests.
- Monitor ERP system and user configurations to comply with best practice protocols.
- Maintain ERP Systems Administration process optimization and common issues documentation.
- Participate in regression testing efforts.
Requirements
- Completion of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in information systems, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years of experience with ERP systems (Workday), workflows, and system security.
- Strong computing background in support and troubleshooting.
- Experience with implementing ERP and/or DW/BI solutions strongly preferred.

- Hands-on experience with ERP/BI development and integration technologies.
- Experience documenting business processes, writing functional specifications, creating test scripts, researching testing issues, and documenting user procedures.
Pay
Salary Range: $80,000–$90,000 (cannot exceed $90,000).
