About the role
We are looking for a talented Energy Technician II to install energy efficiency measures that reduce consumer energy bills for various utility and weatherization programs within a defined territory. Successful candidates will live in a commutable distance to the Erie, PA area.
This is a safety-sensitive position and may include field work (such as work in industrial/commercial locations and customer homes), warehouse work, or requires driving on behalf of the company. Individuals provided a conditional offer of employment must successfully pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and consent to the company obtaining a motor vehicle report evidencing a satisfactory driving record. Applicants must hold a valid driver's license, and maintain a clean driving record as an ongoing requirement for continued employment. If applicable, you must meet all DOT qualification requirements and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
Responsibilities
- Install energy savings measures including attic insulation (batts and blown), caulking, lightbulbs, showerheads, baseboards, thermostats and electric water heaters
- Perform minor repairs to include windows and doors
- Assist with loading and unloading work trucks
- Ensure measures installed are to program guidelines
- Assist with keeping the job site organized and safe
- Assist with customer site job set up and tear down
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in the residential construction industry is preferred; will train the right candidate
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship or support
- Must pass pre-employment checks including drug test and motor vehicle report
Pay
Target compensation: $22.00/hour. Compensation range: $17.75 - $25.05/hour (USD), determined based on internal equity, market data, applicant’s skills, and prior relevant experience.
