About the role

The Technician in the Emergency Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients
• Provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients
• Maintain a safe environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current EMT Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), if required by the State
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $18.00 to $26.68 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
