Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) - Emergency
Responsibilities
Emergency Medical Technician is responsible for the assessment and basic management of medical, trauma and environmental emergencies under the supervision of the staff nurse and / or physician.
Affords assistance with patient care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice;
Affords assistance in maintaining a safe environment and performs under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
- Basic EMT Training or E.R. experience required.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Facility Specific Requirements (facility May Require Items Listed Below)
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Certified/Licensed EMT by the state certifying agency/entity required.
Pay
The current compensation range for this role is $23.00 to $26.67. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
