Peachtree Immediate Care is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team at the Midtown clinic in Atlanta, Georgia. Candidates with an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification, also referred to as EMT-A or AEMT, are strongly preferred. This is an excellent opportunity for an EMT who enjoys providing hands-on patient care, supporting medical providers, and applying emergency medical skills within a fast-paced urgent care environment. Your Responsibilities Will Include Assisting medical providers with patient examinations, treatments, and minor procedures Obtaining and documenting vital signs, medical histories, medications, and patient concerns Supporting patient intake, triage, and clinical rooming activities Performing phlebotomy, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and laboratory procedures Conducting EKGs and supporting additional diagnostic testing as directed Administering medications and initiating IV access when authorized by certification level, clinic policy, and applicable scope-of-practice requirements Providing wound care and assisting with splinting and other minor procedures Preparing examination rooms, medical equipment, and clinical supplies Maintaining clean, safe, and properly stocked patient-care areas Monitoring patients and promptly communicating changes in condition to the medical provider Accurately and efficiently documenting patient-care activities in the electronic medical record Following all safety, infection-control, clinical, and regulatory protocols Collaborating with providers and clinic team members to support efficient patient flow and an exceptional patient experience Required Qualifications Current Georgia Emergency Medical Technician certification Graduation from an approved Emergency Medical Technician program Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification Ability to perform patient-care responsibilities within the applicable EMT scope of practice Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-service skills Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation Ability to recognize and communicate changes in a patient’s condition Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-volume urgent care environment Basic computer proficiency and experience using electronic medical records Reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications And Experience Current Georgia Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certification, including EMT-A or AEMT One to two years of experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, emergency medical services, outpatient care, or occupational health Experience with IV access, phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification About Peachtree Immediate Care, a CRH Healthcare Company Peachtree Immediate Care, a CRH Healthcare company, is a leading urgent care provider serving communities across Georgia.
