The role includes verifying insurance coverage, explaining billing obligations, and assisting with insurance questions. The registrar documents all interactions, places patient identifiers, and communicates with clinical staff about patient arrivals and emergencies. They support efficient department operations by maintaining accurate records and following protocols. Qualifications & Skills Post-secondary education in healthcare administration preferred, with 0-2 years' experience in healthcare settings or customer service. Strong communication, customer service, and attention to detail are essential. Knowledge of insurance verification, medical terminology, and electronic health records is required. The ability to handle sensitive information professionally and remain calm in high-stress situations is vital.
