ER Registrar - Night Shift

Role Overview The ER Registrar manages patient intake and registration in the Emergency Department, ensuring accurate documentation, insurance verification, and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Greet patients and families professionally, register for emergency services, and verify personal, insurance, and medical information.Obtain consent signatures, explain authorization forms, and verify insurance coverage and eligibility.Collect co-pays or deductibles and assist with insurance-related inquiries.Document patient details, place identification armbands, and notify departments of patient arrivals or delays.Maintain communication during emergency situations and follow department policies.Support efficient operations by compiling paperwork and ensuring proper patient identification. Qualifications & Skills Post-secondary education preferred, with 0-2 years of healthcare or customer service experience. Strong communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of insurance verification and EHR systems are essential. Ability to handle sensitive information, stay calm under pressure, and work effectively with patients and teams is required.
