ER Registrar - Full-time, Nights

Role: The ER Registrar manages patient intake and registration in the Emergency Department, ensuring accurate documentation, insurance verification, and confidentiality. Responsibilities Greet patients and families with professionalism and compassion, ensuring a positive experience.Register patients, collecting personal, insurance, and medical information, and verifying details.Obtain necessary signatures and explain consent forms.Verify insurance coverage and eligibility, assist with billing inquiries, and collect co-pays or deductibles.Document patient information accurately, including special circumstances if the patient cannot sign.Ensure proper patient identification with armbands and notify clinical staff of patient arrivals.Communicate with departments during emergencies and follow up on patient wait times.Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining attendance. Qualifications Post-secondary education in medical or healthcare administration preferred.0-2 years of experience in healthcare settings or customer service.Strong communication, customer service, and knowledge of insurance verification.Familiarity with EHR systems, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information.Effective interpersonal skills and professionalism in high-stress situations.
