ER Registered Nurse (Full-Time Days)

About the role

Assess, plan, and deliver age-specific and specialty-appropriate nursing care to ensure patient comfort and safety. Document patient information and observations, including signs, symptoms, and behaviors. Follow physician orders while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality. Collect laboratory samples, perform tests, and adhere to infection control protocols. Manage admission, discharge, and transfer procedures. Participate in care planning, implementation, and evaluation, and assemble equipment for diagnostic and treatment procedures. Perform quality assessment activities and attend staff meetings. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Accurately document patient information and observations, including signs, symptoms, and behaviors
• Follow physician orders and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
• Collect laboratory samples, perform tests, and adhere to infection control protocols
• Manage admission, discharge, and transfer procedures
• Participate in care planning, implementation, and evaluation, and assemble equipment for diagnostic and treatment procedures
• Perform quality assessment activities and attend staff meetings
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred
• Current RN licensure without sanctions
• At least 2 years of full-time RN experience in ER or similar setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications; TNCC preferred
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• For Pennsylvania candidates: Act 33 and Act 73 clearances within last 5 years or prior to start
