ER Nurse (Part-Time/Night Shift)

About the role

The role involves providing specialized nursing care in the Emergency Room, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care to ensure safety and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Deliver age-specific and developmentally appropriate nursing care using advanced clinical skills.
• Accurately document patient information and observations.
• Monitor and record physiological signs, symptoms, and behaviors.
• Follow physician orders and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Perform laboratory sample collection, testing, and assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Manage patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
• Participate in ongoing assessment, planning, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Assemble equipment and supplies, handle care per legal and institutional standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure without sanctions.
• At least 2 years of full-time ER or comparable experience.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; ENPC or TNCC preferred.
• Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills.
• For Pennsylvania candidates, clearances for child abuse and criminal history are required or must be obtained.
