Equipment Technician Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Cook up daily equipment maintenance activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
- Act as the go-to guy/gal on the manufacturing floor for shift execution and escalations.
- Provide real-time direction and decision-making to technicians to keep the workflow flowing.
- Monitor tool statuses and staffing levels to optimize productivity.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Handle hands-on manufacturing support, including knowledge of semiconductor equipment maintenance.
- Support step-in during staffing gaps, high-volume periods, or critical operations to ensure business continuity.
- Lead and develop a team, serving as a coach and mentor.
- Coordinate corrective actions, maintenance activities, and projects to maximize throughput and operational output.
- Contribute to process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation, data entry, and reporting of production metrics.
Responsibilities across multiple shifts is required.
Some night and weekend coverage may be required.
Hands-On Manufacturing Support
- Knowledge of semiconductor equipment maintenance.
- Understanding of Photolithography, Etching, Deposition, Implant, Diffusion as well as Grind, Polish and other processes.
- Prior experience as an senior equipment technician or engineer is a plus.
Team Leadership & Development
- Serve as a coach for technicians on shift.
- Train and mentor team members on processes, equipment, and best practices.
- Reinforce adherence to standard work, safety procedures, and cleanroom protocols.
- Work with the Shift Supervisor to coordinate corrective actions, maintenance activities, and projects.
Operational Execution & Continuous Improvement
- Drive execution of daily priorities aligned with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Identify and resolve operational issues, escalating complex challenges as needed.
- Contribute to process improvements, efficiency gains, and waste reduction initiatives.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems and all regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and handling of chemicals.

This position is eligible to receive restricted stock unit (RSU) awards and cash bonuses, solely at MACOM’s discretion, subject to individual and company performance.
Salary Range
The Salary Range for this position is $67,000 – $111,000. Actual salary offered to candidate will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, work location, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
