About the role
The Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and service of car wash equipment and must be ready to grow with the company. This role reports to the Facilities Maintenance Manager and works alongside District Managers and partners to address maintenance priorities while minimizing impact to production. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and thrives under pressure with strong emotional intelligence and a commitment to the company’s culture and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and service on machinery and backroom equipment.
- Travel between stores to provide routine scheduled maintenance and unscheduled breakdown repairs.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and test systems in at least four of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, welding, pneumatics, or plumbing.
- Read and interpret manuals, work orders, schematics, and other equipment documentation.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment as needed.
- Comply with all safety guidelines, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Manage multiple projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a positive attitude and flexibility when adopting new processes.
- Follow all appearance, uniform, and grooming standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- 5+ years of preventive maintenance experience.
- 3+ years of electrical experience (comfortable with minimum 480 voltage).
- 3+ years of plumbing experience (commercial and/or industrial).
- 1-2 years of trade school plus equivalent in-field technical experience in advanced electrical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, pneumatics, hydraulics, or car washing.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, off-production hours, and on-call.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of trade school plus equivalent technical experience.
- Supervisory and/or lead experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to see tasks through to completion.
- Good attitude and strong work ethic.
Physical Abilities
- Ability to work indoors or outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, perform repetitive motions, see variations in color, and climb/work from ladders.
